Fed: Fog affecting flights at Sydney airport till 9am (AEST)
Heavy fog will cause flights to be diverted from Sydney airport until 9 am (AEST).
An airport spokesman says seven flights had been diverted from the airport by 6 am,with four redirected to Brisbane and the rest to Melbourne.
And the spokesman says the fog might effect both incoming and outgoing flights.
He says anyone using the airport this mornming should confirm details of flights with airlines.
A Qantas spokeswoman says international services have been affected so far, with diversionsunder way.
However, one domestic flight from Darwin had also been diverted to Brisbane.
The diversions are expected to have a knock-on effect throughout the day.
