A statewide "Anti- Hunger Conference" will be held at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 85 Chestnut St., from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 23.
Mike Dowling, the Governor's Secretary for Human Services, will be the keynote speaker. He will address the conference at 12:45 p.m.
Mike Martin, the director of the Fiscal Policy Institute, will lead a workshop on the need for a progessive tax system in this state. …
